Electromagnetic Core Imperfection Detector (ELCID) Test
ELCID testing assesses the integrity of stator core intra-laminar insulation with minimal electrical input. Its high-speed scanning capability (up to 120 mm per second at 60 Hz) facilitates a rapid and comprehensive evaluation. By inducing an electromagnetic field and analyzing voltage signals, ELCID testing effectively detects imperfections such as shorted laminations.
